My current work is an extension of organic drawing/designs that I have been experimenting with. These drawings tend to feature integrated shapes and motion with a focus on the play between positive and negative space. My ceramic pieces start with “recycled” or pre-glazed ceramics, using existing shapes & colors to help dictate the design. Each piece is unique, worked in enamels & ink. Thought is given to flow of a design before I start, but everything is done free form without templates or reference drawings.  These designs can alternately be described as tribal, organic, fire, vines, or graphics.
